posted our wedding pictures at a professional photo website so that our
visitors can not only view them but also order copies of their
favourites. For those unfamiliar with such sites, we have provided simple instructions
below. For those who are ready to start viewing, just click on the
Click on the link above, which will bring you to our main photo album page at Shutterfly. Shutterfly (the photo web site) will appear in a new window.
Click the View Pictures button. A "thumbnail" window (i.e. miniature versions of the album's photos) will appear with the photos in the album. You can click on any picture to see a larger version, or "view as a slideshow" to view the larger pictures as if you were watching a slide show. Click the Stop button to halt this automatic show then use the Next and Prev buttons to move through the album manually. If you wish to view pictures randomly rather than consecutively, click on the Thumbnail Window to bring it to the forefront. Then click on any desired thumbnail to open a large version of that picture in the Viewer.
PHOTO ORDERING NOTES
we have not yet ordered reprints from Shutterfly we had ordered some
from our previous online photo album supplier (PhotoPoint) and found
them to be good quality snapshots. If, however, family and friends
prefer maximum contrast and resolution then please contact us with the
picture title (located directly above the caption) and we will order
traditional reprints for you.
If you wish to order prints through Shutterfly, follow the simple instructions posted at the top of the Thumbnail Window. When you click the orange Order Prints on the top right corner of the page you will be taken to a sign-in page but there is no need to be a member to just order prints - instead, use the "click here to continue" link (under the "Not a Member?" heading) and you will be able to place your order.
Please note that unlike PhotoPoint you cannot order photos printed on mugs, mousepads, key chains, etc. Also note that although Shutterfly may indicate that the photo resolutions are not high enough to make 5X7 reprints, the resolutions were fine when we ordered 5X7 prints through PhotoPoint.
(And for anyone who is wondering, no - we don't make money off the prints that people order!)
